The Golf 4 Millions Amateur Competition begins at your club and ends with the annual National Final, where ten amateur golfers compete in a Closest to the Pin shootout to take home the prize pool - estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands!
Getting Started
-
Step 1: Get your club involved!
After registering, make sure your club pro has also created a profile and club page.
-
Step 2: Take shots!
The Competition begins at your club! When your course, club or pro registers with Golf 4 Millions, members have the opportunity to compete in the Golf 4 Millions National Closest to the Pin Competition. You can buy shots for $1, and you can participate as often as you'd like.
Each club is free to run their Club Level Competition in any format they wish. At some clubs, shots will be available on par three holes every day of the year. Talk to your pro about getting involved and taking advantage of these engagement opportunities.
Levels of Competition
Our tiered national amateur competition has 3 stages:
Stage 1: Club Level Competition
Eligible contestants enter the first round of competition at their local golf club. Participants purchase shots for $1 each in an attempt to land their shot closest to the pin. Each day or week (depending on how the club chooses to structure the competition) the closest to the pin advances to an elimination round. The winner(s) of the elimination round advance to the Regional Competition. At least one eligible participant from every local competition will advance to the Regional Competition. Clubs that sell at least 500 shots may send one pro to join their amateur qualifier at the Regional Competition. If clubs sell 1000 shots they may send one pro and two amateur qualifiers, and if they sell 2000 or more shots they may send one pro and three amateur qualifiers to the Regional Competition. The more you participate at your club, the more thoroughly your club will be represented on a Regional stage.
Stage 2: Regional Playoffs
Club Level qualifiers advance to one of ten Regional Competitions. Regional qualifiers participate in an 18-hole Pro-Am tournament, with the Closest to the Pin being held on a designated par 3 hole on-course. The amateur who lands their tee shot Closest to the Pin on the designated hole advances to the National Final!
Stage 3: National Final
The ten Regional winners qualify to advance to the Golf 4 Millions National Final in Orlando, FL where they will each take one shot. The amateur who lands their shot closest to the pin will go home with our cash prize!
